Ever since season one of Netflix-favourite, Bridgerton, aired, I'd been dreaming of creating a photography set full of pastel pinks and baby blue hues with an abundance of florals. When my biggest dream came true and I got the keys to my very own Studio, a regency romance vibe was top of my list for a limited edition set to create soft yet empowering images.
The lovely Megan was one of the first clients to book a Boudoir photoshoot at the new Emerald Photography studio in June 2023 and got to experience this regency romance set.

What prompted you to book a Boudoir session? What made you choose Emerald Photography?
"I have admired Debbie's work for a few years and always wanted to do a shoot for myself after seeing her pictures of woman all shapes and sizes. I finally decided to book a shoot for myself after working on my self love."
How did you feel when you saw your images for the first time?
"I felt amazing and loved them!"
What impact has the experience had on you? Has this made any lasting changes in your life?
"It has made me love my body and has given me more confidence!"
Did you have any fears or nerves before the session? Would you have the same concerns now?
"I was very nervous of my 'imperfections' however now I'm beginning to love them."
Tell us a little about yourself and your relationship with your body
"Throughout my life, from being a teenager, I've always had a negative view of my body and lacked self-confidence. Since having my two children, gaining weight, losing weight and everything in between I was never happy. A few years ago I began taking care of my body mentally, physically and spiritually and decided I'd like to document this. I started following Emerald Photography and fell in love with the beauty of the bodies she photographed and the confidence these women appeared to have. After talking about it for AGES with my partner, he gave me the final nudge to get booked in.
From the second Debbie was in contact she was amazing and made me feel empowered for my photoshoot. The session itself was more than I imagined and with every snap of the camera I was excited to see the pictures. Debbie talked me through every step of the shoot, made me feel relaxed and at ease. When the images were ready to view I was so excited. I followed Debbie's advice and viewed them when I was relaxed and ready to see them. They did not disappoint and I genuinely struggled to pick some for my album. I've told everyone who will listen about my time with Debbie and feel proud of my pictures!
