An Unforgettable Wedding Gift – The Spicy Surprise of A Boudoir Photoshoot Experience!

A bride-to-be is posing at her Boudoir photoshoot which is for her wedding gift. Her photoshoot is at Emerald Photography Studio in Falkirk, Scotland, UK.

"I'm getting married soon and wanted to do something for me before the big day came. The added bonus was that the album can be given to my fiancé as a wedding gift - he has no idea!" (Sarah)

I've had the pleasure of welcoming numerous brides to the Emerald Photography Boudoir studio this past year; I love seeing how this unique experience has become such a popular and cherished gift for many lucky partners!

Imagine presenting your partner with a luxurious album of tasteful and artistic images that capture your beauty and confidence. A thoughtful gesture that not only celebrates your romantic relationship but also creates a lasting, intimate memento of the start of a new exciting chapter.

If you're up for a one-of-a-kind, fun and unforgettable wedding gift for your partner, a Boudoir photoshoot might just be what you're looking for! 🎉💍

"My fiancé loves my bum so Emerald Photography made sure to showcase the area he would like to see the most!

I wanted to do a Boudoir session primarily for my fiancé, so I could give him a gift on our wedding day. But I think part of me secretly wanted to do it for me too. He always makes me feel beautiful and compliments my body, but its not something I could see for myself. I think a lot of people fell into a routine during the pandemic. My fiance and I got together one month before the pandemic hit and part of me felt we got too comfortable too quickly. I felt like I spent my days in baggy clothes and eating whatever I wanted out of sheer boredom. We missed out on part of the flirty stage. We have a lot of fun together, we go paddle boarding, go hiking with our dog, love to eat out and enjoy cosy nights in too. I cant wait to marry him and have lots of adventures together. He will be completely shocked that I did this and I'm excited to see his reaction. I want to be able to look back at the album when we're in our 70s and remember all the fun we had, and how good I looked!

I've been spreading the word since my Boudoir photoshoot because I enjoyed it so much!" (Miss S.)

How far in advance should I book my Boudoir photoshoot to make sure I have my album for my wedding day?

With the wedding planning to-do list already on your plate, giving yourself ample time to organise your Boudoir session is crucial so aim to book as far in advance as possible. This ensures you can relax and fully enjoy the experience. As well as the session itself, you'll need to allow time for editing, album design and product delivery. To ensure everything is ready in time, it's recommended to book at least 2 months before your wedding date.

“I thought I had pretty good body confidence, but like everybody I have certain areas of my body I like less than others. I'm very tall and very broad, I don’t have a traditionally feminine figure at all! I was always told I would make a great swimmer or rugby player, which I understand people mean to be a compliment, but hearing it over and over again you begin to focus on the negative connotations. It makes you feel unfeminine and clunky. Booking in with Emerald Photography blew my perception my myself out of the water. The images made me see myself in a completely different light, I saw curves I previously ignored and femininity I forgot I had. I did this session as a "final hurrah" to my single self before I got married and as a surprise gift for my husband-to-be, but the session ended up being so much more. I will never forget my Boudoir session, it will always be a turning point in the way I see and hold myself. I am proud of my body and its individuality.” (Kirsty)

Can I wear any of my wedding accessories?

Absolutely! The beauty of a boudoir session is the flexibility to make it uniquely yours. Many brides bring elements of their wedding attire, such as veils, shoes, jewellery, and special lingerie, adding a personal and sentimental touch to the photos. However, there's no rulebook – many opt for classic boudoir outfits, striking a balance between timeless elegance and personal flair. Why not embrace the best of both worlds? It's all about creating an experience that resonates with your style and story.

“I wanted to give my fiancé a wedding gift to remember. Originally it was just for my now husband but in the end I gained so much personally from it. I was elated when I saw the images. Stunned that I could look like that. A friend even commented on how the pictures could have been from an issue of Vogue.

It’s been truly life-changing. After fluctuating body size and not recognising myself in the mirror, Emerald Photography let me fall back in love with my own body. Her amazing expertise and professionalism on the day made me feel safe, secure and totally free. What an experience." (Emma)

"I booked a Boudoir session as I'm getting married! And I knew that my fiancé would adore an album as a wedding gift. I also wanted to do it for myself, to spend the day being present in my body and mind and have fun while doing it! I chose Emerald Photography because her work stood out by a mile and because of the way she speaks kindly of herself and others. Her work is of such high quality and I thought to myself if I'm going to do this I'm going to do it right! It's been an unreal self appreciation experience! It was one of the best things I've ever done and I'm so proud of myself for going for it. I didn't expect to have so much fun during the session but I honestly look back on it as one of the best days I've had this year! And then seeing the photos literally dropped my jaw because I looked so amazing!" (Kirsty)

"I've struggled with body image issues for a long time, and it's taken a million tiny steps to un-learn everything I've been told was wrong with my body. Doing a Boudoir photoshoot with Emerald Photography was a way for me to really finalise saying goodbye to all the negative things I've thought about myself and it's definitely the start of a far more positive chapter for me. Not to say I won't have bad days still, but there won't be anywhere near as many, especially as I have a gorgeous album to look back through to remind myself of how I felt on the day!

It was such a wonderful experience and I left feeling so much better in my own skin than I had before. It was a big jump out of my comfort zone but it was a good jump!  I left feeling on top of the world and so much more confident in my body!" (Sarah)
